The ProPhoenix SMS Messaging Service enables participating public safety agencies to communicate with citizens regarding active emergency and non-emergency service requests.
Before sending any SMS message, the participating agency obtains the citizen’s explicit verbal consent during a 911 or non-emergency service call.

“To assist with your emergency or service request, we can send text messages requesting additional information such as your location, photos, videos, or providing incident updates. Do you consent to receive these text messages? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.”
SMS messages may include:
