New Features 2024 R2 Release

As unveiled at the User’s Conference, we have a full list of exciting new features that will be available in the 2024 R2 release.

Please keep in mind these are just some of the highlights of the new features unveiled in the 2024 R2 Release. For a full list of new modules, see the 2024 R2 Release Notes found in CRM.

SWAT APP

During major incidents, multiple agencies are often called to respond and communication between these agencies may have not been previously established. Our new Phoenix SWAT App solves this problem with a centralized app, accessible by all responding agencies, including non ProPhoenix agencies.

  • Improved Communication in between agencies, involving any agency
  • App is run on the cloud and no VPN necessary to on-prem servers. No data is stored locally so no concern about discovery nuisance
  • Supported features are:  Multimedia Chat, GPS tracking, and RMS post action report

MugMatch

Phoenix MugMatch AI facial recognition system, allows you to upload a mugshot and trace it to any person of likeness stored in the db. With a click of a button, upload your image to the system and AI will do the rest. Information on all matches will be presented.

  • Set matching accuracy to broaden or narrow search scope
  • If a match belongs to a different juris, the contact info for that juris will be displayed
  • Impressive matching algorithm can find identify the same person at different ages
  • Parameters such as no Juveniles for more specific search results
  • Limit the search to only your internal or participating databases

BOT-based routing of non-emergency admin calls with CAD integration

Phoenix AI Transcription and Translation

Transcribe audio files and translate from all common languages to English within seconds. With Phoenix AI Transcription and Translation, officers can quickly dictate reports, notes and more to text to be included in the final report. AI also translates from over 40 languages.

  • Enables user to transcribe an audio or video files in minutes.
  • Quickly translate from various languages to English.
  • Effectively summarize whatever has been transcribed.
  • Perform Transcribe within attachment and link with the related master records such as Case Details, CM, Leads. Perform transcription from Attachment tab in RMS and link it with the related master records (e.g., Case Details, CM, Leads)

FTO (Field Training Officer) Module 

All new Field Training Officer (FTO) forms module in Phoenix RMS is your main module to track all your new hire trainee information. Enter new trainee information, the training officer or officers responsible for training, activities and Daily Observation Reports (DORs) into system. DORs and any forms can be built and customized in the module to meet your needs, and a full report including all information can be obtained with a click of a button.

  • Build and Customize DORs and Forms
  • Track training for any staff, not just police officers in training, including CAD Operators, admin personnel, and more.
  • Track which Field Training Officers are assigned to a particular trainee and assign multiple FTOs within set time frames if needed.
  • Standardized evaluation of trainee is entirely customizable within module using your agency’s existing parameters (ie: number of stops required).

Microsoft Entra ID login support (SSO, MFA)

Microsoft Entra ID, formerly known as Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), is now supported with Prophoenix applications as one of the authentication platform. With EntraID Single Sign On, you can use the same user name and password as you would use for Microsoft products such as Windows, Outlook and TEAMS.

  • Enable Entra ID authentication with in your agency
  • Specifically, Prophoenix RMS, CMS, CAD, and their respective test servers (if applicable) require separate enterprise application registrations within Entra ID. Role-based security management remains within the Phoenix system
  • When Entra ID is utilized, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) must be enabled from within Entra ID itself. The MFA option within Phoenix will not be accessible in such cases
  • In multijuris scenarios, Entra ID configuration must be enabled separately for each jurisdiction to authenticate within their respective directories. It’s possible that some agencies may opt for local LDAP authentication while others may utilize Entra ID

We recommend that you follow these steps in order before you begin the upgrade to Phoenix 2024 R2 (expected to be released in November 2024):
 
  • Review the Phoenix 2024 R2 Upgrade Guide (available soon in CRM).
  • Review the What’s New documents (available in CRM) which describe new and enhanced Phoenix 2024 R2 features. Use these documents to train the appropriate personnel accordingly.
  • Share the changes you will be implementing with your end users.
  • Review the Release Notes which list all CRMs included in Phoenix 2024 R2.
  • Make sure to take a database backup before starting the upgrade.
  • Install and configure Provision Manager (Provision Manager Guide is available in CRM).
  • Obtain the new license from ProPhoenix.
  • Contact your Account Manager to schedule your upgrade.
